Oh Keguro - you could of course also go for the MacBook Air!

Seriously, some folks also put OSX on netbooks, so from a technical point of view, it is doable to have a similar comfort.

The screen with its backlit LED is just awesome on this little jewel (at least some MAC feeling) and for a unique user interface, there are a few ways to turn any Linux distribution to look like a Mac OSX system, including the dockbar and other neat stuff.
Oh, and it btw also has a multi-touch touchpad, meaning you can zoom in on pictures using both fingers.

But you are right - an Apple netbook would be the killer gadget and sell quite well. I think that both Apple and AMD assume that netbooks will not survive for too long as we will probably rather see a decrease in laptop prices and an increase in low-power CPUs so that these low-scale netbooks will eventually merge with entry 11"/12"/13" laptops.

However, if netbooks brought about this change or at least triggered it (netbooks have a current market share of over 10%, which is quite impressive already), then it's good that some manufacturers aren't as arrogant as Apple & Co and are already supplying this demand for low-budget devices.

Yes, netbooks.

I'm waiting for apple to get on board so I can get one. I'm perfectly happy to get one for my brother, or niece, but I'm too pc-phobic right now to move back into that neighborhood.

Netbooks! A Very Good Thing, as Martha would say.
