For sure a mobile phone will never replace a laptop (Asus Eee-PC) is closer to our needs for mobility & small weight.

IMO mobile devices are just enough to take a few pics, listen to the radio or a favourite mp3/ogg tracks & receive a copy of our emails (+ receiving & giving calls).

It is an informative piece on what we can do with our phones. We insist on hardware, even if the ongoing computerization in schools, emphasis is on hardware and not software. There is lack of emphasis on what software can do to improve education.

In this regard, it must take a lot of talking for us to start taking advantage of mobile phones for blogging especially in this election period.

hello jke. i agree with you on this matter. its software not hardware. i have done successful posts with opera from SE p910 previously but the comfort of a standard keyboard like on a laptop cannot be replaced. the qwerty keypard on my second phone the HTC wizard, is quite comfortable, quick to type on and large enough for proper text input, though since i got internet at home i have not bothered to try it out in conjuction with the supplied internet explorer for windows mobile 6 which is brisk and if i use with www.skweezer.net for converting blogs to a format friendly to my small screen is a breeze and a joy to use for commenting, i lost myself there, i shall give posting and editing including adding links and multimedia content and may add my observations on your next post. good post!

Yes, your blog post the other day from the phone inspired me to write this together and look out for the right combination. It's amazing what's possible *only* from a phone, isnt it?

I hear you on the need for better mobile blogging tools. i mainly use my phone for reading blogs and commenting but posting is a bit tedious. a qwerty keyboard like on my E70 is a very big help
