Many thanks. I really would like to see more community websites in Kenya, as they could be the true source of what the people really want and feel. I had high hopes for KARA, the Kenya Alliance of Residents Associations, to do the same kind of work but it seems to have been hi-jacked by the Central Business District and other "high-rollers". There's not much of the grass roots visible. But I could be wrong...

@Aco: So true! I shall mention artmatters.info more often then...

@Nick: Oh I remember the KarengataChronicle from back in those days (~1997?) when it was still hosted on another server (africaonline?) and the online edition of the DN still had this yellow/orange background colour. I've put a link to the Chronicle on my blogroll.

I understand from a Kenyan in Germany that you mentioned our new Karen & Langta community wewbsite in one of your messages. Just to thank you and let you know I'm open to ideas which might interest Kenyans overseas. The site is the digital revival of the tabloid Karen'gata Chronicle, which I ran for 20-odd years. Go see it and tell me what you think. Salaams, Nick Russell, Editor

I was the webmaster of artmatters.info for around 2 years and it was amazing despite the good job that he did how much Ogova and his sight were overlooked. So I agree that site needs as much promo as possible!
Plus that sight adds something new and different to the Kenyan cyberspace.

How about an open blog for cultural events in Nairobi? How about a blog that compares the lifestyles of Nairobi ppl with those from upcountry/shaggz?

That would be very interesting because I think we have all read blogs after blogs of the same thing but this would be nice to read /see. Especially more of the chags life. Isn't there anyone else except The Villager who lives in chags, Karengata people , eh huko in chags , even Ngong ni Chags!!

This you have nailed my Brotha:-) something different. Bloggers in Nairobi , spice it up please!!!
